How did you come about joining GR FFA?  Tell us your “story” – why FFA?

My family definitely doesn’t have a huge agricultural background, but when I turned 10 I began to ride horses and fell in

love with it. This lead me to raise my first pen of rabbits at the fair in the 6th grade. Ever since then I’ve fallen more and

more in love with agriculture, and I want to leave my impact on everyone I encounter!

What FFA activities have you participated in?

I have participated in Greenhand Chapter Conducting and Chapter Quiz Bowl for LDE’s. For CDE’s I have done Horse

Judging and Dairy Cattle Judging. I did prepared public speaking under the Animal Science category as well as raising

livestock. I have raised 4 hogs, and currently have 4 head of cattle. I was a Southwest District Officer over the 2021-

2022 school year, as well as the chapter Reporter from 2021-2022 and the Historian from 2020-2021.

What is your favorite FFA memory?

My favorite FFA memory is my entire year as a District Officer. My fellow officers were like my family by the end of the

year, and they still impact my life daily. During our District Leadership Camp planning, we took a trip to Walmart for

supplies and rode bikes through the hallway and took funny photos through the electronics. We also had to buy a cow

tongue for a game, and i kissed the cow tongue with my best friend the day of the Camp.

What other things are you interested in? (sports, clubs, civic, church, etc...)

I love the rodeo, and I plan to start barrel racing and goat tying with my quarter horse, Poptart. I am in the ASL club, as

well as an active volunteer at my church Grand Parkway Baptist. I am a part of the National Charity League, as the

parliamentarian! A lot of my time is spent on schoolwork, but I did UIL cheer (2021-2022) and plan to again this

upcoming year. I love going to the gym with my friends, colors; hot pink, teal, and anything pastel, and spending my

Friday nights with my family at Mexican Restaurants. I love going to church, camps, spending time with friends, and

socializing with strangers at any given moment.

What are your future plans?

I plan to go to Nursing school with an undergraduate in biology or chemistry hopefully at SHSU or Texas A&M. I want to

train horses in my free time, as well as having livestock in the future.
